About Kay소개
Kay Lee grew up speaking and reading Korean and has spent her adult life working in English at the highest academic level, earning a Ph.D. in Political Science from The George Washington University and teaching East Asian politics there. That combination is what a patient needs in the room: someone who catches every nuance in Korean and renders it precisely in clinical English.
Since 2020 she has interpreted by phone, video and in person for national language-service providers, and since 2023 she has evaluated other interpreters' language skills for one of them. She holds both national medical-interpreter credentials, CMI-Korean from NBCMI and CoreCHI-Performance from CCHI.
Nearly three decades as a licensed real estate broker in the Washington area shaped how she works with people: calmly, one person at a time, with a great deal of patience for stressful moments. She volunteers through Fairfax County, Oakton Church of the Brethren and the Oakton Pantry, and serves on her church's Committee of Action/Reflection.
